I want to know how to get EPM to print using a specific font.
EPM allows me to set a (Edit ->) Style and choose a font from what I
presume are the OS/2 system fonts. (I've never installed any additional
fonts.) I mark the appropriate text, then choose and Apply the font I
want the marked text to have. These settings are saved as Extended
Attributes in the document.
When I print, the font is always Courier. Intriguingly, the vertical
spacing on the printed page changes depending on the font I select, so I
know EPM is sending some kind of command to the print driver along with
the text.
I know what needs to be done -- a soft font has to be sent to the
printer memory and then the PCL print stream has to contain the escape
sequence to use the soft font -- but I don't know how to get EPM to do
this (I presume there's an API call to the driver to do this). I have
(many) LaserJet II's with plenty of memory for soft fonts.
My EPM says it is version 6.03b.
The question: How do I tell EPM to embed a soft font in the print
stream going to the printer?
