Jordan is probably right about economics of repair shop versus new
purchase. But if it was just about economics, we would have stopped
this thread about a week ago. Fixing ir yourself can be fun. I have an
Epson 600 that refused to recognize the black cartridge. After Epson
offered to repair it for some outrageous amount, I tried a little research
and some alcohol and q-tips and it's a productive member of society
again. You don't win them all, but now and then you do. Jack, I
presume you've scoured Yahoo and such. I had to follow quite a few
dead ends before I found the tips that led to saving my 600.
