Steven/Jerry:
I called IBM and they said they replaced the CPU &
fan, and unfortunately they re-imaged my hard drive.
(I had to sign something giving them permission to do
so, otherwise I ran the risk of getting the machine
back un-repaired).
Assuming I get the machine back tomorrow, I don't
remember (since it's been a while since I've used
Partition Magic) if I can tell it to create a FAT16
partition after I tell it to shrink the Win98
partition (which I assume is FAT32)? Or would I have
to use FDISK/FORMAT after I use Partition Magic 6
(which I got from Terry Warren)?
The reason is so I can put files that are normally on
diskette on a FAT16 partition, due to the fact that if
I re-install MCP2 or eCS 1.1, I can't swap the CD-ROM
drive for the floppy drive (partly because I don't
have an external floppy cable). Examples are the eCS
registration key or drivers that are not on the
install CD (such as my PCMCIA network card).
