Because checkini knows that SCShadow is a WarpCenter class. SC stands for
SmartCenter which is the original name for WarpCenter.

Because it's a good idea. :-) It actually should not be there, but
defects happen.

Not quite. A reference to an object can be stored several ways within the
WPS. Checkini is telling you one of the IDs get corrupted, but there's
enough info remaining to fix the problem.

Checkini can only repair the current Desktop because there no way to
access the other Desktops.
