Haven't yet figured out how to run dfsquery from a Warp diskette bootup (per
my private email to you), but I found out that dfswin can run under WinXP,
so I ran that. Hope it helps. See attached file.
Be aware, though, that the listing shows 4 disks... the "4th disk" is
actually a SmartMedia reader, so ignore it.
Disk 1 contains WinXP, boot Manager and some hidden partitions that are set
up for future use.
Disk 2 contains two Warp partitions (one of which is a hidden maintenance
system), six fat16 data partitions (3 of which are small, just to use a
drive letter), and an HPFS data partition.
Disk 3 contains a single fat32 data partition.
In looking closer at disk 2, using FDISK with a Warp diskette bootup, I now
see some things that appear to be problems to FDISK that aren't shown by
dfsee, namely some "extra partitions" (see below). Any idea how I can get
FDISK to see the drive the way dfsee does?
FDISK shows:
none pri/log freespace 23 (purposely left open)
Warp1vol bootable logical HPFS 736 (hidden maint partition)
SCSIWarp bootable D:logical HPFS 1505
none logical freespace 1 (this is an error)
none E:logical fat 1466
none F:logical fat 1505
none G:logical fat 1458
none logical freespace 1 (this is an error)
none H:logical fat 15
none I:logical fat 15
none J:logical fat 15
none K:logical HPFS 1999
none logical freespace 4 (this is an error)
The 3 interspersed freespaces are errors... but, how to correct them?
They are undoubtedly the reason for the FDISK warning message that partition
mapping may be corrupted, and probably the reason why I can't add SCSIWarp
to the boot manager on disk 1. They may also be the reason that PQMagic
doesn't show the scsi partitions, although I'm not nearly as certain of
that.
