In using Mozilla 1.4, I've noticed some download anomalies. This is
not at all the only example, just the most recent one. I went to the
Simtel s/w archive, and tried to download an item from quite a few
of the links on this page:

http://www.simtel.net/product.download.mirrors.php?id=61113

In almost every case, instead of getting the d/l file, a left mouse
click
on the link gets me streaming gibberish (code). O.K., I know about
the
bug that goes back to early Netscape days, so I try SHIFT-Left-Mouse-
button instead. The dialog box offers me only an HTML d/l of the
links
page. Same deal with Righ-Mouse-click, for Save Target As. I finally

did get the file (which brought up another issue -- see next message)
I think
from one of these links, but it seemed to be an unrepeatable fluke.

Anyone else run into this ?

Incidentally, following this same trail, NS 4.61 was unable to get any
further
than a "Your D/L should begin soon" type message. I did experiment
with
changing Settings like JavaScript, but it made no difference.

Jordan
