The usual reason that DOS sessions are slow is because scrolling text is
slow in a windowed VDM. How much slower varies depending on the video
driver. Switching to full screen basically bypasses the driver.

Which WP program is causing the problem? Are other windowed DOS sessions
OK?

One area to investigate is keyboard polling. Your DOS program is by
definition going to poll the keyboard for characters. This can cause the
DOS session performance to degrade if there is too much switching from and
to the VDM session. This is a matter of balance. You might have
installed some other program or turned on some feature that makes the
other app "more" active.

Sometimes, WPS VDM objects can get corrupted in mysterious ways. I would
create a new object for you app, just on the chance that this is the
problem.

Regards,

Steven
