Steven,
In a previous message you said about restoring the desktop with Unimaint:
>just just boot to the command line and run SYSRESTR.CMD to do a full >Desktop Restore. I've never had this fail.
When I boot I get a screen that says, among other things:
F2 Go to command line A: No files replaced. Use original config sys.
Vaguely I remember your telling someone that you update the "original"
config.sys with the current version. Do I need to do this before using
the SYSRESTR.CMD? Or can I just put G:\Unimaint\sysrestr.cmd on the
command line? If I should update a config.sys, which one do I update?
I ask this question because I found a config.sys file with a different
size and created on a different date (except for two) in each of these
five directories on my boot drive (c:).
c:\ibminst\tables\ 1452 bytes 8/28/96
c:\os2\install\ibminst.bak\ 2550 bytes 5/22/02 12:25:14
pm c:\os2\install\bootdisk 1392bytes 8/12/96
c:\os2\install\ 2467bytres 5/22/02
12:54:02 pm c:\
4865 bytes 9/13/03
Only the current config.sys on c:\ includes G:\unimaint\ in SET PATH and
LIBPATH. I suspect the two versions dated 5/22/02 were created by my only
archive but don't understand why there are two.
