> LVM is a replacement for FDISK; LVM is not a driver.
LVM (I'm learning) is more than one piece of software and one of those
pieces is a driver called OS2LVM.DMD. It apparently receives the disk
requests made by user programs, calculates what partition actually
contains the desired data, and then passes this information along to
OS2DASD.DMD which actually works with the physical drive(s).
Since OS2LVM.DMD is a driver it must be in CONFIG.SYS. I don't know yet
if it must be located before or after OS2DASD.DMD in CONFIG.SYS.
OS2DASD.DMD is a BASEDEV; I don't know yet whether OS2LVM.DMD is a
BASEDEV or a DEVICE.
Other LVM software "pieces" are the MBR and the Boot Loader; there may
be others.
