Did you drop a word here? TCP/IP is layered on top of MPTS.

>My next move will to

Don't bother trying. Just remove NSC and the other TCP/IP applications
you don't need. That's how it's done.

I keep a score of errors at boot with binding drivers and
>what not.

You are doint something wrong.

>Is tcp/ip all I need for connecting to cable modem?

Yes. Of course, you will also have the underlying MPTS which is where the
TCP/IP stack lives.

>What is
>the process for DHCP ?? There is no mention of it in the manuals.

It's there. You'll probably have to install a couple of MPTS and TCP/IP
FPs to get a version that will work with current DHCP implementations.

>I have yet to successfully install the driver for my 3com pcmcia nic

You are doing something wrong. Post copies of LANTRAN.LOG, PROTOCOL.INI
and CONFIG.SYS.

>I've gotten the file from the Warp 4 cd.
>I've copied it to a floppy, and I've copied the files to the hard drive,

You still need to configure the adapter with MPTS.

>I feel comfortable with the base install, but before continuing, I need

I'm not sure what you are saying here. Doing something again without
understanding what's currently wrong is not likely to really help you
understand what you need to do differently.

Regards,

Steven
