Clearly Warp 4 recognizes and uses the IDE version of the LS-120.
It is reasonable to assume that the LS-240 is likewise acceptable,
even if only as an LS-120. But I can offer no hands-on experience.
Dunno about Linux. But I can ask around. I've already posed the
question the local Linux list. Perhaps Dallas has better information.
He's an active Linux user.
Now I'm curious too. Keep us informed of whatever you find out.
