I was scared off by all the install problems, versions, Java nightmares
and GCC horrors ventilated on this list.

Firebird beta works OK to get me in to sites at which Nav 4.61 fails, so
I'll stick with Firebird beta as my backup until a perfect version is
released. I don't need anything except a browser so Mozilla is excess to
my needs. (I use the excellent PMMail for e-mail.)

Thanks for your thoughts though. You are certainly right that I have
had browser problems.
