In Netscape Navigator 4.61 typing a few letters in brings up any similar
previously visited site. You can click it and load that site.
In Firebird I can type the first few letters also e.g. WWW.FE and up comes
(not in the URL input window, but in a dropdown box below it) WWW.FEDEX.COM.
If I click that, the URL input box, instead of loading the highlighted URL,
changes to 'about: blank' and then a screen comes up
Access denied to system because of URL Filter Configuration,
while attempting to retrieve the URL: http://www.web1000.com/.
Your system was configured to deny access to this URL. Because this url was
and improper/obscene website
I am at a loss to understand why
- highlighted URL does not jump into URL input box when clicked
- why 'about: blank' appears
- why Firebird goes to a (reportedly) porno site at this point
All illumination welcomed, including the location of the documentation
which would have answered these questions had I been smart enough to
find it
