I went back to an original, working config.sys and made just the one
change, and that is what happens.

I also tried two different versions of os2dasd.dmd:
The original one -- 37431 10-16-01
and the eCS one -- 37467 10-09-02

There is no difference.

I notice in Goran's instructions that os2dasd.dmd should be in the
\os2\boot directory. In my system it is in the \os2 directory. Could that
be the problem?
