While trying to get Warp3 Connect fully installed on my old Compaq LTE
Elite 4/75 XCL laptop, I've come upon another problem and am asking for
help/advice.
I have a driver from Norloff's BBC for the 3Com EtherlinkIII 3c589C pcmcia
nic card. When trying to install the driver, I have accessed the Device
Driver Install page and the Select Directory page which lists the source
directory and the destination directory for the driver. I've listed the
path for the source and destination correctly and when the "set" button is
pushed, I get a large encircled "I" with this message: "A profile control
file could not be found in the source directory." The only response is
an "OK" button and I am back to the Select Directory Page.
The directory holding the drivers has two files, that is the driver
contains two files: EL90X.OS2 and EL90XIO2.NIF.
There is no help button on the Select Directory page with the setting of
source and destination that gives me the "I" message.
Any suggestions, recommendations?
Butch
