This is what the manual says:

Spanning Your Backup Across CD Media
Back Again 2000 allows you to span your backup across multiple
writable CDs. Spanning requires the use of a 3 rd party file system
manager such as RSJ?s CD Writer. These 3 rd party packages are the
responsibility of the end user to acquire, install and support. CDS
does not provide technical support for installation or configuration of
these packages. Please refer to the documentation include with these
applications for more information.

Create the backup as normal using the selective backup utility. Use
iedisk deviceln as the backup device and a .dat file as the path. To
select iedisk device,l? click on Device in the selective backup utility
toolbar or the Set->Device... pull down menu (Figure 4.20).

When the capacity of the CD is reached, you will get a pop up window
asking you to insert the next volume into the drive (Figure 4.21).
