No. The link was on the web page. It's the pwicq.hlp group on
news://news.ecomstation.dk.

No. The servers just share the load and reduce latency.

ICQ has grown a lot from what it started out as. If you look at the ICQ
home page, you'll see it's become somewhat of a do everything platform.

There's really not much to it. The hardest part for me is to figure out
the icons. They are standard, but they are not well documented on the ICQ
site.

What seems to happen is it comes up, fetches mail and then get stuck
trying to bring up the main screen. I guess at some point I'll have to
turn on the Java Console log to see what's really failing.
