Where did you add them? They do need to be very early in config.sys.
I would try without the /autocheck for now to cut down the variables.
Do you have a JFS partition on this box? If so, use LVM to hide it.
Again the idea it to cut down the variables.

You might try the doscall.dll from eCS. It's hard to know if we are
getting a trap because of a bad call to doscall.dll or if doscall.dll is
doing something wrong.
You you have a SADUMP partition on the test box. We might need it.
