You're asking the wrong guy, Gary, I'm a novice at Windows XP.
Here is a webpage you can go to (using MS Explorer as your browser, not
another one) and Microsoft will inspect your system and automatically
download and install fixes it decides you need:
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/security/default.asp
There were over 40 fix files applied to my WinXP Pro system when I visited
that site a few days ago. Luckily I use dsl for internet access.
