Trying to print a 7 mb jpg in PMView, the output file object appears in the
printer job queue. However after some disk thrashing, a message appears on
screen
Printer
Jobs printed directly--spooler disabled
Then nothing happens.
When I click Change Status on the object for the print file in the queue,
it appears as Hold. I click Release. A few moments later the above
printer message reappears. I Click OK, then view Change Status. It has
returned to Hold status. I click Release. The cycle repeats. This may
be an endless loop. It is late, I am tired and have an urgent print job.
My machine seems quite determined to continue playing this game with me.
Why is it doing this and how can I teach it to obey its master? I'd
really like to see the paper come out of printer.
