Hi Harry
thanks for your words !
There were some mistakes !!
It's obvious that only me have done this / these mistake(s) ;-))
I have already found one !
Since my systems are absolutely up-to-date with its drivers, FP, DD- =
and other packs ...
=2E.. i noticed that my Performance Plus V4 Boot & Utility Diskettes =
contained very old files back to 1996 ;-(((
Well: DaniS506.ADD together with 32-bit CHKDSK were quite accurate =
but the rest like FDISK, FORMAT and xCOPY were too old ;-((
I have created a copy of these 2 diskettes and did replace all these =
old files with the newest available ones ;-)
After my vacations I will try with 2 more new 40GB HDD's (WDC400JB =
with 9ms / 8MB Cache and and we'll see if this time it works more
smooth =
than the first one ;-))
I will come and tell, hope sucessfully, about ;-)))
Kind regards, svobi

Svobi,
I'm not sure you made any mistake. Did you use PQMagic and/or any other
3rd party =
program to partition and/or format your hard drive? Or, did you stay
with FDISK and =
FORMAT from OS/2, updated with fixpaks?
