There should be two. One is Com 1 and the other is Com 2. One way
is to open the case and see which connector goes to which connector
on the motherboard. Another is to plug something in and try it. When I
figure it out, I put a sticker on them.

There's probably a better way.

Also check your interrupts to make sure you have something assigned
to Com. Usually 4 for Com1 and 3 for Com2.

I think I recall utilities that came with some modems that check your
ports. I don't remember them being very useful, though.
