Last July when I started my adventure into OS/2 Land, I was advised to
update diskette one and two of the installation package. I did so, but do
not remember exactly where I got them. Lately, I've tried installing warp
4 on a couple of old computers: a pentium 166 with 64 mgs of ram and a
pentium 133 with the same amount of ram. Unfortunately, all the hard
drives I have for them have sector errors and I have been advised by
several to avoid using them. At any rate, I've acquired another old
computer, an AMD K-6, but the problem with this is the ps/2 connection on
the motherboard. At boot I get stoppage with error that the keyboard is
faulty or missing. I am switching to a usb keyboard when it arrives
($4.00 variety). Hopefully, with the usb keyboard, I will finally be able
to boot the machine with Windows 98 installed. I will want to uninstall
Windows and install Warp 4.

During my experiences with the previous mentioned pentiums, I was unable
to complete an installation of Warp 4. I received a variety of failure
messages, but I won't go into them. I am thinking perhaps my installation
diskettes, both the original and the updated ones became corrupted some
way. I've searched for updates and found IBM updates of 2001/08/04. They
are at http://www-3.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/YAST-3MARH8.html

Just wondering if these are the updated install diskettes I should be
using or if there are others, please advise me.

I'm greatly appreciative to all who have helped with my conversion to
os/2. About 5 months ago I completely eliminated Windows from my machine
and hard drives. I've come to enjoy and appreciate Audio/Data CD Creator.
It fulfills all my needs and has been useful in copying lots and lots of
jazz cd's. I was able to purchase a copy of Object Desktop and am
currently giving it some use. When I become more adventuresome, I would
like to try the new eCS.
