My time spent running 1.1 so far has been quite limited, so I don't really have much info on  
this.  Can't rule out some problem, for example.  But I would note that there are some new  
features to get used to.  I haven't really gotten the hang of that 6 compartment lavender  
doohicky yet at the lower left.  (Part of Xworkplace ?)  It can reposition various things,  
perhaps inadvertently, and apparently has something to do with the built-in virtual desktops  
capability.  I will need to get comfortable with this (or else dispense with it), before I can  
get more at ease with the look, feel, and operation of 1.1.

My guess is that it's not truly or permanently gone.

My intuition says 'Has To Be' . . .  but I couldn't i.d. it for you.
