Since I waste a good deal of time playing Freecell, I decided to try and
bring the Win2K version into eCS.

I booted Win2K, and searched for Freecell, locating Freecell.exe in
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32. I copied it to my D: volume, which is in Fat16
format. I went back to eCS 1.1, copied the Acrobat 4 object on the
Desktop, used the WinOS2.ico to make it look different (I don't use
WinOS2 these days), and renamed the object to "Innotek". I opened the
Drives function, and the D: drive, and dropped Frecell.exe on Innotek.

The immediate result was a failure because CARDS.DLL was not found. So,
back to Win2K, where I copied CARDS.DLL to the D: drive. Then, back to
eCS, and I repeated my experiment. Freecell came right up. I pressed F3
to select a game. In Win2K, the "random" game number is highlighted, so
when I type the exact game number I want to play, the random number is
replaced. Under eCS, the cursor is placed at the start of the random
number, and I have to erase the random number before I put my specific
number in.

After that, Freecell generates the game I asked to play. At first, I
didn't notice anything funny, but then it hit me: The face cards in
Diamonds and Hearts are red, but ALL the Ace thru 10 in ALL suits are
Black! Still, be being careful, I was able to play the game.

Any idea how I could get the colors to display correctly?
Colin
