Have you sent up any flares via the "controlled" newsgroup gateway he was  
sponsoring ?  (I say "controlled" because I seem to recall it was intended to  
improve the signal-to-noise ratio, filtering out a lot of the nuts, abusers, junk  
and  
pointless flamewars.)  I don't have a setup for it where I'm at right now, but it  
was  
something like    news.consultron.ca   .
