MY DSL ISP is "Speakeasy.net". Price is (with their Los Angeles area
discount) $29.95/mo for the first year. DSL modem cost (fully rebated
except for sales tax) was $99.00. Covad did the actual Central Office
installation, which took about a week from the order acceptance.
They give you a static IP and do not care what operating system you use.
No installation program from them was necessary. I have the main OS/2
computer on port 1 of the router and a
WIN2000 box on port 4. The wireless on the Netgear router behind the DSL
modem is disabled.
Larry Tawa helped me install the DSL and router. His address is
