No. It contains the lost sectors.

Not really. You can look at them with a hex viewer and make some guesses
as to where they came from. This might tell you which open file got
truncated by the crash. This is the typically what chkdsk finds. You can
also usually correlate these to the allocation mismatch errors the chkdsk
generates.
