Can I assume you mean using the Details view of a WPS folder?  
 
If so, updates are automatic if the changes are made by the WPS.  If the  
changes are made outside the WPS, it is up to the process that does the  
changes to tell the WPS that  it has changed the directory.  I believe it  
the kernel that provides support for this.  IIRC there were a couple of FP  
that broke this.  All I can say is that it works here.  If I delete a file  
in a Desktop folder with 4OS2 or ZTB, the folder refreshes a couple of  
seconds later to show the change.
