You are looking for a folder inside the Template. One way to check is to
open up the setting notebook for the template and turn off the template
flag. Then you can click on the object and see what's inside.

There are several tools that can do this. I tend to use unimaint for
this. Object Desktop has Object Inspector and XWP has something who's
name I forget.

There's also:

checkini /w /s

which will generate a detailed log.
