The Saturday (not Friday) Fry's ad has a Panasonic MP3 for $80. Thanks
for the heads-up on Fry's offerings.
I am clueless clueless clueless on auto sound system specs. Do some
manufacturers have more sensitive receivers? Better controls? Larger
CD buffers? Higher failure rates? Like who cares Dude just crank up
the volume.
Steve C. also told me that Best Buy will install an auto stereo that you
buy elsewhere. I didn't know that -- thanks again.

I checked the Crutchfield site after you mentioned them but didn't find
their pricing to be "competitive". Maybe I'm supposed to look for the
specials?
