Hardware keeps evolving. Jerry Rash has a MB with this problem. It's
pretty wierd. It boots up with the screen blank. When the SDD drivers
kick in the screen comes alive. We are working the problem.

What else would you expect to happen? IBM certified that the T30 for
OS/2. I'll bet you that Toshiba did nothing of the sort for the
Satellite.
This does not mean the Toshiba can't be made to work. I just means that
the failure needs to be understood so that if a workaround exists, it can
be applied.

Don't assume that what works for your Thinkpad will work for any other
random piece of hardware.
