Hi Sandy
I would suggest you the following steps:

1. Modify your OS2.KEY file from x:\OS2\ARCHIVES like I did and =

attached here it is:

- OS2.KEY =

It is read-only ! So change the attribute before modficating.

2. Run ARCinst
2a. Check x:\OS2\BOOT\ALTF1MID.SCR if the newest timestamp is set

3. Activate your WPS archiving button in your WPS property =

3a Shutdown & CTRL-ALT-DEL system and make sure =

your reboot shows the archiving process in the left bottom corner !
3b. Once again check ALTF1MID.SCR like done under 2a !!

4: INactivate your WPS archiving button again to avoid further
archiving !!!
(The opposite of point 3)

Done: Like this you have you present WPS archived ;-)
One more hint: Sometimes SCENTER.CFG may getting corrupted !

My solution: I do copy SCENTER.CFG to SCENTER.CFG_YMMDD ...
=2E.. where YMMDD is similar with the respective archive date in
ALTF1MID.SCR ;-))

Good luck, svob=EF

Subject: SCOUG-Help: Unimaint question

Getting ready for a trip, and I am trying to bring my laptop up to speed
(War4 - FP15).

I ran Unimaint Repair with difficulty, but when I try to "Backup
Desktop,"
the window opens and says: "Locating Desktop," and then it just sits
there. I see no hard drive activity. I am not sure how to trouble shoot
this and would appreciate any suggestions. (Checkini and Cleanini also
worked fine).

Thanks, Sandy
