Too big is in the mind of the beholder. IAC, a large HPFS partition does
take longer to boot because the IFS needs to read more data during
initialization. For most folks, the difference in boot time is not really
all that much of an issue. The real downside of HPFS is the chkdsk time.
Of course, if your system does not need to chkdsk very often, even that is
not much of an issue.
