Hi Butch,

Wait a minute -- you live in Vegas, don't you ? Isn't that sort of the
Eskimo buys a refrigerator scenario ? I don't happen to know what the
official line is, but I'd start my search at one of the many online sites
that cover the action on this. Assuming my memory is correct concerning
your home town, I'd just walk into one of the major sports books.

Unofficially, I've heard everything from Lakers in six (mostly from the
unabashed and uncritical homers), to the Spurs in 5. L.A. has enough talent
to beat anyone, but there is a lot of team dissension, runaway egos, and
personal agendas. They do not seem capable this year of playing
*consistently*, *as a team,* up to the level of their abilities. (Contrast
that with the -- so far -- surprising Dodgers, perennial under-achievers who
this year are showing signs of exceeding everyone's expectations.) I'd say
it's very open to question. I would love to be wrong here, but I don't see
them advancing beyond this 2nd. round, and probably inside 6 games.

Jordan
