Peter was more direct, and I follow directions (and that machine has no  
floppy with which to copy the file onto):  
 
Uninstalled mpts.  
 
Reinstalled it: scary, had to do it from the install CD, using the CID  
install.  
 
Now I get the same error, PLUS  an error message SYS0318:Message file  
/MPTN cannot be found for message 0001, and an addition at the end, smilar  
but referring to message 0003.  
 
I'll try to boot from either another partition, or put a floppy drive (or  
burn a CD) with the other files.
