This is, of course, the same problem as faced by spam filters,
except that the spam is being encountered not as e-mail to an
end receiver, but as asynchronous input to a server. I
wonder if any of our spam filter providers can help with this.
There has been and is a healthy discussion of possible tactics
to detect various forms of spam going on for the last week or
so on the SNOBOL4 list. You can get on the list and see the
archives via http://www.snobol4.com/ .
