Clearly they don't have the same sharing situation. Take a close look at
config.sys and protocol.ini and figure out the difference. The failing
install is probably loading additional drivers.
Interrupt sharing issues are driver specific. In the best of all possible
worlds all PCI IRQs can be shared. Unfortunately, more than a few older
OS/2 drivers have not been updated to share corrected. Other drivers are
just defective.
Make sure you install all the latest applicable drivers from the eCS,
especially for USB. These have corrected some IRQ sharing issues.
