I can't say for sure, but Chuck's:

implies the DFE card does use the RTL8139, which is the chipset you want.  
 
That said, e-mail Larry Tawa.  IIRC, he purchased a case of RTL8139 based  
NICs and since you are both SCOUG memebers, he will probably make you a  
offer you can't refuse.  
 
There's also the Hawking pn102txa which I know has a RTL8139 because I've  
got one.
