Choose a print server that supports TCP/IP printing.
Most support LPR which then gets you OS/2 printing.

The HP170 series and most higher-numbered external HP print
servers qualify, but _NOT_ the HP150. I use an HP170 as well
as two others.

It's hard to go wrong with HP, but there are plenty of suppliers around.
I believe the HP170's often go for less than $40 on eBay. A multiple-port
print server can also work well if your printers are in one place, or at least
within a printer-cable's length of each other. For example, Auction #5734653698
(HP 170) has no bids yet and expires at Noon, Monday 11/29 (+ ~$13 shipping).
Regrettably, this seller has no feedback and thus presents a unknown risk.

I was given a 10-Mb/s hub and put all my parallel-port printers on it,
using only one port from my 4-port router/switch. I print to only one
printer at a time, and the 10 Mb/s speed is entirely fast enough for a
parallel-port print server. A big buffer on the printer is definitely
a good thing if you print large graphics. Printer memory has become cheap.
