That's odd, although I have seen things like this when apps have subtle
defects in how they use the file find API.
One workaround is to Save as to a local work directory and then copy the
results to the shared drive.

I'm sure I could give you a complete answer if you want to spend some time
with the OS/2 trace facility. However, you may still need workarounds to
get the data to the drive.
