Just a quick note on this. I'm still running eCS 1.1, unimproved by
the likes of the McKinniss service tool (sorry -- just never quite got
around to it, and 1.2 is on the way, anyhow), although I may have
manually updated the odd .DLL here & there. This is all on the small
Shuttle box. Yesterday, I plugged in a SanDisk Cruzer mini
flashdrive. It already had a selection of test files on it, copied
there under the Dark Side. eCS not only saw it, but could access the
files ! Actual freakin' I/O goin' on ! I've got a small and growing
collection of card reader / writer gizmos here, none of which were
functional in eCS. So, this is a first, an encouraging sign. I hope
1.2 will do even better.
