Replying to a message creates a thread.

If you have several lists like this one, and you let the message
quantity build up in the individual folders, and you would like to be
able to quickly scan what has recently been posted, try this;

Set View\Sort by\Date, Ascending, Threaded.

If the thread is closed it takes only one line per thread in the folder.

New messages will be at the bottom of the folder screen; just check
the bottom of the screen, you don't have to scroll thru the whole
folder. You could sort descending, but having the thread as well as
the folder flowing downward seems more natural.

If a reply to a previous post comes in, that post as well as all the
rest of the thread will be at the bottom of the screen, and, the
thread will be open so you can review the rest of the posts in the
thread and decide - based on your interest in that particular
discussion - whether to spend any time on that new message.
