I don't use RSJ, so you will have to bear with me here.  When you restore, 
I'm pretty sure you have to use the CD-ROM drive letter, not the CD-RW 
drive letter.  Did you do this? 
You also need to find a pencil and paper and write down the full error 
messages. :-)

FWIW, you probably don't need to restore your MR/2 install to recover from 
the problems you have.  However, I tend to be literal minded and answer 
the questions that are asked.
