I ordered mine from TigerDirect.com (no convenient Fry's, etc. in my area).  
Price was reasonable.  I'm using "SoundBlaster Live! OS/2 Audio driver 
version 0.81 (beta)" which is a  port of the open source SB Live Linux 
driver.  Works well, but no built-in MIDI support; haven't installed Timidity 
yet, but that is reported to resolve the MIDI issue.

When I was building the Dragon, I went through MMOS2 configuration several 
times.  I never had a situation where I felt a need to remove and reinstall 
MMOS2.
