This came up a couple of weeks ago on the scoug-help list.
Both of these testers are based on the same code. What happened is the
original memtest86 development slowed down for unknown reasons. This
prompted another team to take the memtest86 code and build an enhanced
version. This prompted the original developer to resume development.
Both are very capable tools. I've run both with equal results, but I
currently have no failing memory (other than my own) to test against.
I recommend you try both. CD-R media is almost free.
