Correct, as I had discussed previously on this list. Shed about 30 bucks a
month in cost, and went from 384 kbps d/l speed to 1.5M. I could have gone up
to 3 or even 6 (at significant extra cost, of course), because they installed a
remote terminal with fiber optic cable, which covers all but the last (2000 ?)
feet. Previously, I had been about 13,000 feet from their DSL trunk -- or
whatever they call it -- when the max. distance away you can be and still have
DSL service is 18,000. The new service has only been up about 36 hr.s, but I'd
say it's a rather noticeable improvement, most of the time.
