Just double-checking this, as I don't trust my memory.
In Windoze, they tell you to uninstall the prior
Mozilla before you install the new one. I don't
recall that being the case with Mozilla on *our*
platform, and the installation instructions do not say
this. IIRC, we can just drop the new one in in
parallel to the old one. I'm not sure if it will pick
up all the prior settings, but hopefully it does. My
intent would be to remove the previous Mozilla tree,
once I'm sure that all is well with the new one, and
that I'm all set to pick up where I left off. The
profiles _are_ in their own separate tree structure.
Incidentally, I always use the Installer version, so
the manual method that Ray prefers (using the Zip
releases) won't apply here. I presently am using the
Weilbacher release. Supposedly, there are some
glitches in going back to the "official" one after
that, but I like the Weilbacher, so might as well
continue with his releases.
