Bob, I'll add you to the list. :-)

Thanks, I do have the params (and they're the same for OS/2 as for eCS).

What I need to know is:

-- Are there program calls (perhaps PM, perhaps WPS, perhaps in
platforms such as Java or XFree86, perhaps in add-on libraries) which
return "adjusted" clock values, or instead is it up to each application
program to simply obtain the TZ environment value and adjust as desired.

-- Does some component of the operating system change the clock when
crossing a Daylight Saving boundary? (I haven't seen this happen but
I'd like some kind of confirmation one way or the other.)

It's probably in an IBM Redbook somewhere.

I just went to http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/ and searched on "tz" but saw
nothing relevant. However, I think the Redbook search engine isn't a
full text search a la Google.

I have a number of Redbooks that I've downloaded over the years but
they're all PDF and I don't have a search tool that can look inside PDF
files. I'll post that question separately.

Thanks,

- Peter
