Please say this so that I can understand what you mean. Your USB HDD is
an IDE device.

This can only work if the drive contains a file system that eCS-OS/2
understands.

You may need to upgrade usbmsd.dmd, if you haven't already.

With the current USB drivers, I am not aware of any that don't work.
There may be problems with some drives above 250GB, but I have no specific
